2) Can Lifepoint facilitate order entry and CPOE?
Yes, in fact we are experts in Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) solutions. Our Web Provider Portal application allows for robust clinical order entry, with medical necessity checking, AOE questions, ABN printing and more. Our EMRHub can facilitate bi-directional EHR interfaces so orders placed in the EHR are securely and accurately processed into you LIS or HIS system.
3) What hardware does the hospital or lab need to purchase?
Lifepoint Informatics solutions are deployed in the SaaS (Software as a service) model and are accessible from an Internet browser so the hospital or lab typically does not need to purchase hardware. Rarely do our clients choose to invest in a new VPN appliance.
4) How long does it take to get Lifepoint products up and running?
For current Lifepoint Informatics customers, EMR interfaces can be operational in a few days. Our portal products have implementation plans of 90 days or less and once live, end-users can be added in a matter of minutes. Also, many of our products are available in “lite” editions that are much quicker to deploy than standard editions.
5) Can Lifepoint print result reports automatically from a printer?
Yes, with our easy to use Autoprint. Autoprint installs as a service or agent on the end-user’s workstation and can be configured to print result reports on a schedule or on demand so that results can be printed and waiting at the providers convenience.
6) Does Lifepoint only process laboratory results?
No, we can do much more. Although laboratory results make up an estimated 70% of the patient medical record and are Lifepoint’s core area of expertise, we also help our customers process, store and securely deliver anatomic pathology, cardiology, radiology and more. In fact, we can process any clinical, financial or administrative data for your lab, hospital or health system.
7) How do you interoperate with our existing clinical, financial and administrative systems?
The Lifepoint Web Provider Portal system can interface with any existing system that can output or produce electronic files through our virtual interface engine, InfoHub. Typically such files are based on the HL7 standard and because Lifepoint Informatics is LIS independent we have the ability to interface between different LIS vendors without bias. EMR integration is handled via our EMRHub which can help connect your entity to ambulatory EMR and EHR systems in your marketplace via our InfoHub interface engine.
8) How can Lifepoint help with clinical integration and pay for performance reporting?
Lifepoint can help hospitals and health systems achieve clinical integration with our LifeLink solution. LifeLink can connect multiple, disparate data points and store them in a central data repository that can then be aggregated, analyzed and reported on. On-demand reporting allows users to run multiple reports including outreach and performance reporting.
